If you are a "people person" with a desire to help people as a career, you may be interested in joining the Cardinal Nannies and Companions team. We look for genuinely caring individuals who have chosen to work with others, and who derive great satisfaction in doing so.

All Cardinal nannies and caregivers must be reliable, honest and responsible. Perhaps you have raised your own family, or volunteered or worked in the neighbourhood, a school, church, library, summer camp, health or fitness club or daycare facility. You may have taken related courses, such as early childhood education, N.N.E.B., H.C.A., P.S.W., R.P.N.

We help you find an appropriate family to work with and ensure proper treatment, payment and job description. We operate according to all government standards and guidelines. Cardinal Nannies and Companions puts the Trust back into the Child Care Business - on both sides.

Cardinal Nannies and Companions recruits Canada-wide. Owner Moyra Stephen regularly travels throughout Canada to recruit and interview potential new nannies and companions. We also recruit in Quebec and the Maritimes, where fulltime employment opportunities may be limited. There is an interest among these individuals in caring for children and helping with their French language studies, while at the same time, improving their own English language skills. This cultural exchange has proven to be both positive and highly successful. "When I find nannies in Quebec to fill full-time live-in positions," explains Moyra, "the families get an extra bonus, as their children learn French in addition to being well cared for.
